Climate control solutions by Enerdes

Air circulation and air distribution

Appropriate ventilation and air motion are extremely important in a greenhouse for high product quality.

Air handling units: Enerdes Air Handling Units are the best performing and the most energy efficient air handling units in the world. The AHU systems create optimal greenhouse climate conditions and are uniquely designed for, amongst other greenhouse designs, the patented semi-closed greenhouses. AHU’s provide air motion and temperature control. This can be done with both inside and outside air. Many designs are available ranging from compact to large, medium climate to challenging climates and a budget model.

Enerdes fogging systems and industrial humidifiers control humidity levels. The systems control the moisture and provide evaporative cooling in the greenhouse.

Recirculation fans: Enerdes Recirculation fans bring the air in the greenhouse in motion and provide a homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the entire operating space. Uniform conditions in the greenhouse are critical for a reliable and repeatable crop production.

Air hoses: Air movement and uniform conditions are not only important in the top of the greenhouse, but especially close to the plants. Air hoses and recirculation under the gutters on which the plants are positioned, provide a constant air flow under and around the plants. This also prevents moisture build-up near the plants, which impedes mold development and crop diseases.

Fresh air intake: Enerdes has developed fresh air intake systems that meticulously control the amount of fresh air that is blown into the greenhouse and ensures proper air filtration in order to prevent rodents, dust and even microbes and mold from entering the greenhouse.

Air Treatment

Some greenhouses also dry their plants, fro example hemp dryers. Enerdes has developed high-end dryers that can be installed in drying rooms. The Enerdes dryers control the humidity levels and temperature in the drying room with incredible precision. The biggest challenges of plant drying are:

  • Relative humidity level decrease rate control. If the drying process is too slow there is a risk of growing mould. If the drying process is too quick, product quality is damaged.
  • Homogeneous moisture contents in the entire drying room
  • Homogeneous air motion in the entire drying room
  • Homogeneous temperature levels in the entire drying room

Enerdes has developed a high quality dryer that accounts for all these challenges and secures homogeneous product quality for each and every drying batch. The humidity level and thus plant moisture content is lowered over a certain time span with a rate that is completely tailored to the customer’s and the plant species requirements. The drying system has been uniquely developed by Enerdes and provides homogeneous air motion and moisture concentrations in the entire drying room, achieving a consistent product quality for all plants in short time spans.

Desinfection and filtration

Both filtration and disinfecting systems can clean the air from undesired microbes and moulds.

  • Enerdes has developed an air disinfection system that contains a UVC module. The UVC module kills bacteria, viruses and mold spores, without affecting the air quality.
  • Enerdes can design tailor-made solutions for filtration units to the desired level of filtration, which precisely control the amount of air that is treated. Our filtration systems can be designed to the required MERV or HEPA filtrations levels.

Odour control

Enerdes has produced many systems that provide odour control. These solutions each have their own advantages and include:

  • Enerdes Carbon filters, based on activated carbon filtration. This is a market standard and effective solution.
  • Enerdes Biofilters, based on odour and VOC neutralizing effect of the optimized microbes that develop in the biofilter. This is a completely harmless and environmentally friendly solution.
  • Enerdes Vapour odour control, based on the odour neutralizing effect of essential oils. This is a solution that can be installed all around the greenhouse perimeter in order to prevent odours from reaching the neighbourhood.

Greenhouse irrigation - water sterilizer developed by Enerdes

Enerdes provides Sterilizers that allow for the greenhouse to safely reuse irrigation water and sterilize drain water, resulting high water efficiency. The disinfection percentage is 99.9% while retaining adequate oxygen levels, fertilizer and nutrient levels and pH levels.
